User Workshop For Acquirers
|
Combined TrainingThe workshops on this page don't fall clearly into any of the technology, process, or people categories. Rather, they address all three in an overview fashion. Note: These courses are based on materials copyrighted by Carnegie Mellon University; however, neither Carnegie Mellon University nor the Software Engineering Institute directly or indirectly endorse these courses. These courses are not Software Engineering Institute courses and do not qualify attendees for any Software Engineering Institute course credit. CMMI® Implementation Boot CampThis half-day experience builds awareness of the three essential CMMI®-based process improvement components.
It is geared toward the needs of anyone who is seeking awareness-level information about process improvement. Participants gain a solid “big picture” grounding in successful process improvement and its complexities. A more detailed information sheet for this course is under development. It will be available shortly. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us for more information. CMMI® for Executives WorkshopThe SEI identifies “sponsorship” (i.e., senior management buy-in and support) as the key ingredient for successful process improvement. Often, though, organizational staff don’t perceive senior managers as being particularly committed to process improvement, even when it is legitimately among their highest priorities. In this one-day workshop senior managers receive information they need about the technology, process, and people aspects of process improvement. This information is framed in a way that is specific to their role and needs in that effort. Participants are also informed about simple, powerful things they can do to provide visible support for the effort and align their organization to ensure that the effort proceeds as effectively, economically, and expeditiously as possible. Time is allocated in the workshop for participants to identify specific measures they can take to help ensure successful implementation while receiving the highest possible return on its process improvement investment. A more detailed information sheet for this course is under development. It will be available shortly. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us for more information.
