Integrated Process Solutions, Inc.'s CMMI® User Workshop has been developed for those who desire or need increased depth of CMMI®  knowledge but aren't necessarily on a track to become instructors or lead appraisers.  It fills a significant gap in the SEI's current CMMI® training offerings by addressing the needs of anyone who desires or needs a more complete understanding of model content and concepts, but especially:

  • process group leaders or members who are responsible for implementing CMMI®-based process improvement in their organizations

  • managers whose organizations are implementing CMMI®-based process improvement.

  • appraisal team members who feel they need more, in-depth preparation for their responsibilities than they were able to receive from the introductory course (or the intermediate course, if they've taken it)

  • those who are planning to become instructors or lead appraisers.

Key features of the CMMI® User Workshop include:

  • It builds on instruction that Dr. Myers has been using for several years as "added value" material when teaching the SEI's Introductory, Intermediate, and Instructor Training courses.

  • It is structured to build a "gestalt" of the model, rather than compartmentalized process area-by-process area coverage.

  • It is built around exercises that will help each participant apply the material to his or her organization's particular circumstances, objectives, and needs.
